Additional Campus Services

At the center of Massey Campus in Fort Pierce sits Koblegard Student Union (KSU)—the epicenter of 91¶ÌÊÓƵ community life and the gathering place for the College. KSU houses a number of student-oriented activities and related departments including the Office of Student Affairs, Student Engagement & Leadership, a coffee shop, student lounge, cafeteria, , and much more.

A campus center with a student lounge, bookstore and food options is available one each of the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ campuses.

River Hammock Student Housing

The Alto "Bud" Adams Jr. River Hammock is 91¶ÌÊÓƵ’s student residence complex located on 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Main Campus. Open only to students enrolled at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ, The River Hammock offers convenience and the comfort all at a price you can easily afford.

A great value at a very affordable price, The River Hammock's monthtly charge  includes utilities and WiFi internet service.

Designed with you in mind these beautiful apartments feature a central living area, dining room and kitchen. Four individual bedrooms with two full baths assure your privacy and an environment conducive to studying. A complete kitchen appliance package, central heat and air conditioning, telephone and cable TV outlets, and deadbolt locks, are a few of the many amenities you will find at The River Hammock.
 

River Café

The College’s River Café offers breakfast, lunch, beverages and snacks each day beginning at 7:00 a.m. The cafe closes at 3 p.m. during Fall and Spring semesters and at 2 p.m. during Summer semesters. .

River Shop Bookstore

The well-stocked , located on the Main Campus and on branch campuses, sells new and used textbooks, classroom supplies, gifts, 91¶ÌÊÓƵ apparel and merchandise.  The shop often offers "Back-to-School" promotions such as "Midnight Madness" and other events.

As part of a continuing effort to keep the cost of education at Indian River State College to a minimum, "Book BuyBacks" are offered at all campuses each Spring and Fall.  Books accepted for resale must be in good condition, and they must be designated for use in upcoming classes at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ.

Mail Room

91¶ÌÊÓƵ operates a full-service Post Office on Massey Campus in the River Commons Building (KSU). Students can purchase stamps, prepare packages for mailing and apply postage, send priority and certified mail, and more. Residents of the River Hammock receive their mail through the Mail Room.

Mail Room hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Cosmetology and Barbering

The 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Institute of Cosmetology and Barbering operates full-service salons in in Fort Pierce (2401 South 29th Street) and at Stuart Square Plaza in Stuart (1998 S.E. Federal Highway). All services—cosmetology, barbering, nail and skin care—are performed exclusively by 91¶ÌÊÓƵ Cosmetology and Barbering students under strict supervision of their instructors.

Current students with a valid 91¶ÌÊÓƵ ID save 20% on services at 91¶ÌÊÓƵ salons.

Campus Safety and Security

91¶ÌÊÓƵ Safety and Security Officers provide foot and vehicular patrol on each of the 91¶ÌÊÓƵ five campuses. Officers are well-trained and equipped with modern communication devices for immediate emergency response. Further, the Safety and Security Team regularly trains and disseminates safety information to students and employees.

Upon enrollment, students provide the College with contact information and emergency contact information, so that they may be notified in the event of a campus emergency or severe weather event. The 91¶ÌÊÓƵ website, and and channels are also sources of information in the event of an emergency.
